A big mahalo to Ho'omalie for sharing their
beautiful, therapeutic music
As Hawaii's first stand-alone memory care facility, Hale Kū'ike has incorporated the best ideas and practices from around the world. Our programs and architectural design are based on many years of careful research and hands-on experience. There is a reason behind each design element and even the smallest details were carefully researched. Lessons from Scandinavia are thoughtfully incorporated with many resort-quality details. The home-like environment is one that actively supports the residents' abilities while projecting a familiar and comfortable island feel.
Hale Kū'ike's dining is Family Style and served just like at home. This method is proven to work best because it increases socialization and encourages participation. David's interest in fine cuisine led him to become a Certified Dietary Manager, and he currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Kapiolani Community College.
Our philosophy is to find joy in all that we do and to bring the zest of life into each day. When visiting Hale Kū'ike, you will find residents involved in the natural rhythms of everyday life. Familiar "living activities," such as gardening and other domestic routines, target remaining abilities which provides many opportunities for success. You will also find a variety of creative approaches, such as therapeutic music and aroma therapy, that support a calm and healthful atmosphere.
